ADEPT® bulletin 11 shows the excellent medium-term clinical outcomes of the ADEPT® Hip Resurfacing System in comparison with competitor brands.

The BHR is the longest standing hip resurfacing device and has been observed for over 10 years as reported in National Joint Registries.  The BHR is the only hip resurfacing device to have a 10A rating under the guidance of the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE).  To achieve a 10A rating the prosthesis must have a revision rate of less than 1% per year, at 10 years.

The ADEPT® Hip Resurfacing System builds on the successful heritage of the BHR both developed by Finsbury (now MatOrtho®).  Early clinical results for the ADEPT® are comparable to that of the BHR at 3 and 5 years.

The Australian National joint Register shows the ADEPT® to have the lowest revision rate at 3 years compared to all devices including the BHR.
