Medial Rotation Knee™ Features at Worcester Event

Friday, May 08, 2015

The Current Concepts and Controversies Knee Meeting takes place on the 20th and 21st May, 2015 at the Sixways Stadium in Worcester, UK. The event features a combination of live cadaveric surgery via a mobile surgical skills lab, panel discussions, tailored workshops and lectures.

Day one of this two-day event will focus on soft tissue surgery, including ACL reconstruction and tibial osteotomies. The second day covers topics regarding patellofemoral joint replacement, with a final session focussing on total knee replacement (TKR).

This year’s faculty lineup includes a number of well-known opinion leaders from the UK and overseas. We are pleased to announce that Mr Giles Heilpern, a Consultant orthopaedic surgeon from Kingston Hospital and the Elective Orthopaedic Centre at Epsom, will be presenting and talking about the Medial Rotation Knee™. His presentation will take place during a session called ‘Current Concepts and Controversies in TKR’ on the second day.

Tying in well with the theme of the day, Mr Heilpern will provide an insight into how our TKR design provides natural asymmetry for the patellofemoral joint, an aspect of total knee replacement that alternative and traditional designs have either neglected or compromised as a result of tibiofemoral joint design.
